EDMUND IRONSIDE: SCHOLARSHIP VERSUS PROPAGANDA’ (N&Q ccxl (1995), 294-9). I can confute (a) all Professor Smith’s imputations about my alleged bad faith, and (b) the thirty-five-year antedatings of 2 Henry VI 1623 and Richard III 1623 on which he relies for his repeated assertions [1] that “Ironside is not by Shakespeare”.
